Hi, I’m Austin. I care about the outcome as much as the interface.
Senior product designer with 8+ years across 0→1 products, core experiences, growth and monetization, and platform: what changed for the user, and what changed for the business.

Have a strong point of view, hold it loosely, and let the evidence redirect you.
How I travel, and how I design
A sideways route into design
I started with an audio engineering diploma from Middlesex University in London, but couldn’t find work in the industry, so I pursued my other passion and enrolled in Interactive Design and Technology at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. I made the Dean’s List, tutored classmates, and taught myself development on the side.
That combination of design and technical curiosity led to my first startup role, where I was both designer and developer. Since then I’ve worked across early-stage products, complex platform problems, growth experiments, and large-scale SaaS experiences.
I’ve learned that my best work happens when I can get close to the problem, understand what is actually getting in people’s way, and work closely with the people building it to turn that into something useful.
Working with AI
I’ve been using AI tools to explore ideas faster, prototype more directions, analyze research, and work through problems with my team. It’s changed how quickly I can move from a question to something tangible: more ideas explored, feedback sooner, and more time on the decisions that actually matter. Some of those experiments live in the AI Lab.
